Updates Part 2
So! I'm not dead! That's pretty cool!
Let's see... so I'm a junior in university now, that's pretty cool. Going for a BA in Emerging Media and Digital Arts, which is basically any digital art/editing/design/etc. -- I'm going for animation, personally, though I'm starting to think I ought to lean more in the direction of character design/concept art/storyboards. Been in my first proper animation class this term, which has been super interesting.
I'm almost 21 now, so that's neat! As in, like, I'm turning 21 in about two hours. So happy early birthday to me, I guess? I'm gonna spend the day doing groceries and final project work, so like... que sera sera.
Oh yeah, cool identity stuff! I'm nonbinary. Woohoo! So they/them pronouns, the whole shebang. Changed my name too, though I haven't gone through the whole legal dance yet (planning on doing that sometime this coming summer, if everything works out).
I'd like to think my art's improved a bit since I was last active on here, haha... and I started a webcomic! Though it's been kinda on hiatus since school makes being Productive kind of difficult.
I may still not post on here a lot (not super comfy with dA's policies towards copyright and use of art), but I'll try to be a bit more active. It's starting to look like tumblr might be going belly-up, and trying to find more audiences for art is pretty important too.
So yeah, huzzah!

Well, I'm Back
Been a while
Looks like I'm back here again (there's some... messy stuff going on on tumblr, and I figure I should get this back up to date just in case).
Gonna be doing a lot of house-cleaning, so -- sadly -- expect a bunch of the older stuff to be deleted. Or archived.

Just A Casual Update
Sorry I've kind of dropped off the face of the site. Life's been going weird places, and I also haven't actually finished any art pieces for a while, so I haven't really had much to post. I have some sketches and old stuff for you guys once I get around to it though…
Anyhow, yeah, life's been a bit nutty. As you may or may not know, I'm a senior in high school this year - graduating in June - which means I've had a lot to worry about. Finishing high school, not failing my classes, getting college stuff all in order, making sure we can AFFORD college (it's a thin line)… so I've been a bit distracted.
By the way, yay, I'm going to college!
Next year I'll be attending Southern Oregon University! For those of you who don't know, SOU is in Ashland, Oregon - AKA the home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival! So there's a LOT of theater stuff and resources, which is really exciting for me! They also have a pretty good art program that I might go into, depending on how things are looking a year or two from now.So yeah, nutty life.
On another note, for those of you who are currently mutuals, I'm really sorry but I have to inform you that that may not be true soon. When I have the time/energy, I'm going to do a small clean out of my watch list - I rarely have the motivation to check my notifications, and I'm really sorry but there are some people whose notifications I just delete. It has nothing to do with you/them - just me and the fact that my energy and idea of what I'm looking for on dA has shifted a bit since I first joined.
To you lovely watchers who are reading this (if any of you are) - thank you so much for sticking around even without art updates!

PLEASE READ
So, as you may or may not know, I’m a senior in high school this year. And something that we do at my school is “Senior Projects”. For mine, I’m going to try to put together a sort of “Gender/Orientation Guidebook” with illustrations and pages on various gender identities and orientations based on people’s experiences. I know it’s not a very good explanation, but I can elaborate later if you want. Right now, I have a really big favor to ask.
Because I’m basing this on people’s experiences, I need some way to gather this info/data. I’ve put together a google forms survey for this purpose. I plan on getting it to everyone in my high school and hopefully the other high schools in the area, but that’s still a rather limited area. So here’s where the favor comes in.
I’d LOVE LOVE LOVE for all you watchers of mine to take the survey. Your experiences, no matter what your orientation or gender is, are valuable and would be a helpful addition to my project. Please take the survey, and please PLEASE send it to your friends and watchers! Please spread the project as much as you can - outside of Portland, outside of Oregon, even outside of the U.S. would be so amazing!
The end goal of the project is to show that there is not a set way for anyone to be a particular gender or orientation, and that - especially for less common ones - you don’t have to meet this that and the other requirements to “count”. I want it to be a resource that anyone questioning their gender or orientation can go to for reassurance, or that anyone who wants to learn more about what these identities mean can look at for honest, first-person explanations. Does that make any sense?
So basically, the more range of experiences I can put into this, the better.
Please, PLEASE take the survey and spread it around! I will be so eternally grateful! I can’t promise any gifts or rewards - I’m a time-crunched HS senior with no income and a lot to do - but I will be super grateful and you will all be able to see WIPs for the project and (hopefully) the finished product! Keep an eye on my tumblr (fire-tan.tumblr.com) for updates, because I may not be 100% able to keep you all updated on here.
